Fees & Insurance
My fees are in line with those of other therapists in the area. I offer a limited number of sliding scale spots for those who may not be able to afford my usual fee. Payment is due at the time of service, and can be made through cash, check, or credit card, as well as some health savings accounts (HSA) and flexible spending accounts (FSA).
While I don’t currently accept insurance, I’m happy to provide superbills—detailed receipts that you can submit to your insurance provider for potential partial reimbursement. To avoid any surprises, I recommend checking with your insurance company before your first session to confirm:
-
Whether your plan includes out-of-network mental health coverage
-
Your reimbursement rate for out-of-network providers
-
If you need to meet a deductible before coverage applies
-
Whether telehealth sessions are covered (if applicable)

No Surprises Act & Good Faith Estimate
As of January 1, 2022, you have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” outlining the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. The “Good Faith Estimate” explains how much your medical and mental health care will cost. If you’d like one, just let me know.
And if you have any questions about fees, insurance, or how reimbursement works, please don’t hesitate to ask. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.

Frequently Asked Therapy Questions
Individual sessions are typically 50 minutes, though longer sessions can be arranged if needed. To provide the best support for your progress, I ask all clients to begin with weekly therapy. Over time, we can adjust the frequency based on your needs and goals. My goal is to help you feel better and create the life you want to live!
I don’t bill insurance directly, but I can provide an invoice (superbill) if your insurer offers reimbursement for out-of-network providers. I recommend checking with your insurance company to understand your mental health benefits.
Please contact me for my current rates. I strive to keep fees in line with those of other therapists in the area and offer a limited number of sliding-scale spots for those who need it.

I ask for at least 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule so I can offer the time to someone else who may need it. If something comes up last minute, the full session fee will apply—unless it’s an emergency or we’re able to find another time that same week. I appreciate your understanding and will do my best to be flexible whenever possible.
I integrate a variety of the most effective, research-backed therapeutic approaches to help create change. These include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Exposure & Response Prevention (ERP), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), and self-compassion practices.
You may start to notice changes in how you think, feel, and respond to challenges. Progress can be gradual, and we’ll regularly check in on your goals to ensure therapy is supporting you in the best way possible.
Finding the right therapist is important. If at any point you feel therapy isn’t working for you, we can explore other approaches, or I can help connect you with someone who may be a better fit.
